issue three: hard.
january, twenty thirteen.

outrageous... that's what i've got to say, utterly outrageous. oh and really hard too, powder is so damn hard.

so it’s a new year and didn’t we all have a blast, i must say, seeing it in.

haven’t you noticed all of that syrupy, positive energy spinning around in the atmosphere. i mean, i’ve just been basking in it as it trickles over my brow, runs down into my mouth and coats the inside of my throat in such a gorgeous, radiant, mystical manner.

it’s like our third issue of powder and all and i have to tell you that it’s as hard as they come.

hard is about rising up against the odds and well michael thompson's poster art is without a doubt perfectly revolutionary. i speak with him about what movements really move him, the reasons behind his creative activism and he fills us in on the goings on of the twenty thirteen international reggae poster contest.

speaking of uprisings and those hard enough to be involved, eric e of the bay area clues powder in on what is going on with that radical awakening in mexico #yosoy132. eric, so eloquent, tells us how their calling for the democratization of society and the media.

and my, my i got to speak with the delightful, delectable siouxsie q from the this american whore podcast. she certainly makes many a soul hard and she gives us the low down on sex worker rights, life in the trade and what her favourite fashion is.

speaking of fashion you’d be hard pressed to find more dazzling fashion than the shots from the top street fashion site in japan; tokyo faces. these pics will just simply stun you in more ways than one.

if you've got a penchant for pain then you ought to read louise carter's article... it'll give you a glimpse into another side of what you can perceive but you’d definitely have to be hard to get yourself there.

powder is packed with gorgeous visuals this month. hard, as in technically marvellous, is the way little old me would describe hugo poon's shots of honkers. they will leave you breathless… now this man can capture a moment. while joshua smith’s stencil art from adelaide is an aerosol explosion of colours.

and powder is overflowing with seductive words to alleviate you from the mundane…

abe completely blew me away this time… he takes you on a teeth flossing journey but there’s also a lot in there about the problems with getting oneself hard.

ms delgado delights us with a twisted tale from the other side of the sanity scale. drow smith meditates on the travails of the modern, consumerist world.

vinny recounts what it means to be hard while paulina, well i just spit in her general direction.

and you… mmm hmm, i’m speaking to you my little powder puff, as you’re wafting through powder please, oh please do remember that i am so very fond of you and what’s more if i could crawl through the screen of this here computer i’d be there beside you baby… remember tis an auspicious moment.

peaches,
